On our roadmap

Tell us where you ship today. We'll plan where you can ship next.

Most compliance tools tell you whether an order is legal. The Expansion Advisor we're planning will tell you where the next $100K of revenue is hiding, and exactly what it takes to unlock it.

What the planned expansion report will cover

Pick a target state (or ask "where should I expand next?") and the advisor will draft a structured report against the same primary-source data the rest of the platform relies on. Sections planned for the initial ship:

  • Licenses + estimated time/cost

Every required license enumerated, with expected approval lead time and out-of-pocket cost to obtain each.

  • Product restrictions

Which of the producer's products can legally be sold in the target state (e.g., volume limits, ABV bounds, label restrictions).

  • Tax obligations

Excise, sales, and reporting cadence for that state's bev-alc surface.

  • Volume / value limits

Per-shipment + annual volume caps for DTC into the destination state.

  • Carrier + age-verification requirements

Approved carriers (FedEx, UPS, regional) and adult-signature requirements specific to the state.

  • Compliance cost estimate

Ongoing annual cost to maintain compliance in the new state: license renewals, filing fees, audit overhead.

  • Market opportunity sketch

State population, per-capita wine consumption, existing DTC shipment volume: the demand side of the equation.

Why a planner, not just a checker

ShipCompliant tells you whether your order is compliant. Avalara calculates the tax. Neither answers the question every winery owner is actually asking: where do I go next, and is it worth it?The Expansion Advisor we're planning will close that gap: synthesizing regulation, market data, and your own product mix into a decision-ready brief.

Be the first to use it.
